Welcome to Health at Campbelltown

Health At Campbelltown, together with Health at Newton and Health Alliance are privately owned medical clinics located in Adelaide's inner North Eastern suburbs. We have both male and female medical practitioners who consult at all three locations on a rotational roster. As of 1 March 2009, we merged the management structure of Brooker Medical Clinic and have formed Health Alliance, specifically to increase the repertoire of available allied health services.

Our medical centres are purpose built and fully accredited by AGPAL. We offer all general practice services including men's and women's health, diabetic checks, childhood immunisation, general health checks, PAP smears, Travel advise and vaccination, as well as pre-employment medical examinations. In addition, we have on-site facilities to perform investigations including lung function tests, ECGs, vascular doppler ultrasounds and skin checks/dermatoscopy. Some of our doctors also have areas of special interest including musculoskeletal medicine, skin cancer screening, child and youth health as well as minor surgical procedures and basic fracture management.

Smile Point Dental and Healthscope Pathology are located at Health at Campbelltown. Other services available include physiotherapy, podiatry, dietition services, psychology and various other medical specialists who consult regularly at the rooms. Doctors and staff pride themselves on providing quality and friendly service at all three fully accredited medical clinics.

Diabetes Education

Diabetes is certainly becoming more prevalent in our society today. Having said that, a diagnosis of diabetes does not necessarily mean condemnation to a lifetime of woe. With relevant knowledge and self-initiative, Diabetes is potentially a very manageable problem.

Here at the Health Group of surgeries, we have Credentialled Diabetes Educators consulting onsite to assist in the education of our diabetic patients. We also welcome external referrals to the Diabetic Educators who would be able to liase with and send correspondence back to your usual GP.

Consultations are conducted by appointment and include one-on-one sessions for an assessment and education. Referrals under a GP Care Plan attract a Medicare Rebate and in addition, some health funds also offer a rebate for consultations with a Diabetic Educator. In addition, we also hold Diabetes Education and support groups in conjunction with an Exercise Physiologist to assist and empower the patient and motivate them in the process of self-management of Diabetes.

All consultations can be made by ringing our friendly reception staff at any of our centres.

In addition, more information can be obtained from the SA Diabetes Educator Website - the link is to the left of this paragraph.

Online requests for prescriptions, results, referrals and basic consultations

Whilst a face to face consultation offers the best platform for doctor-patient communication, we understand and value our patients' time and understand that sometimes, time constraints restrict the ability for patients to attend appointments at our clinic for their repeat prescriptions, results, referrals as well as basic consultations.

Bearing in mind the necessity to protect patient confidentiality as well as security of private information being floated on the internet, we have adopted the services of Ozdocsonline to provide secure requests as well as payment and communication facilities to commence these services. If you decide to try this service out, you will need to logon to www.ozdocsonline.com.au and enter 0883658111 as the phone number of the clinic in order to "sign on" as a patient and from there, the prompts will guide you to the appropriate limited services currently available.
